I am a geologist by training who is interested in the natural world in general.  I am the webmaster for the Eastern Native Tree Society http://www.nativetreesociety.org and a long term member of the National Speleological Society.  Recently I also started the Primal Forests - Ancient Trees group http://primalforests.ning.com/ on the Ning Social Network and also I am a member of the Sprit Rescue Group http://spiritrescue.ning.com/ .  I have always had an interest in paranormal phenomena and am interested in investigating occurrences, but at the same time I retain a large degree of skepticism about the phenomena I am investigating.  I do not believe that just because something could have been faked that it was, or just because a phenomena can not be repeated on demand that it is non-existent, but at the core I am am a hard core scientist.

I can say that I have always been fascinated by all things paranormal and supernatural. And I have always wanted to be a paranormal investigator but never knew how to go about doing so. I heard about pps from a friend I went to high school with. I know that I could be an excellent paranormal investigator because i have extensive knowledge of all things paranormal and supernatural I think I could very well be an excellent asset to pps. I really wouldn't know how to start an investigation but I would do my very best to go about doing what needs to be done. I haven't really ever dealt with anything paranormal except for exploring graveyards after midnight. I wouldn't know what most of the equipment used in investigations is for or why we use it but i'm sure I can learn in time. The advice I would wish to give to paranormal investigators is just "be careful out there and do your very best".
